The Forest County Potawatomi community celebrated education, culture, and connection with events like the annual Education Banquet, Youth Gathering Carnival, and snowshoe making. Other highlights included summer programs for elders and youth, water quality reports, and coverage of FCP members achieving milestones in art, leadership, and public service.

Rejuvenating Tribal Communities

The Rejuvenating Tribal Communities Conference is an annual event dedicated to supporting and revitalizing Native American communities through collaboration, cultural preservation, and advocacy.

In honor of Chief Simon Kahquados’ birthday, which is celebrated on May 18, Potawatomi Times has decided to share some of Kahquados’ letters archived at the FCP Cultural Center, Library & Museum

Wellness 360 App for FCP Tribal Members

The Potawatomi Community Center (PCC), along with the FCP Health & Wellness Center and Community Health Department, hosted an event on April 8, 2025, at PCC to have tribal members, descendants, and their families sign up for the new Wellness 360 app.

Winter’s End Powwow

This year’s Winter’s End Powwow brought a packed house with travelers from near and far to join in on some singing and dancing on March 22-23, 2025, at the Potawatomi Community Center.

3rd Annual Round Dance

On a cool, breezy Friday evening, visitors and tribal members from across Turtle Island gathered at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Carter, Wis., on Feb. 28, 2025, for the 3rd Annual Round Dance.

Heart of the Community

The Heart of the Community event, A Gathering of Tradition & Wellness, was sponsored by the Forest County Potawatomi (FCP) Health & Wellness Center (HWC) was held on Feb. 19, 2025, and open to the public.
