Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be Native American to apply for a scholarship?

No. There are no ethnic or racial requirements for our scholarships. Wisconsin applicants of all backgrounds are invited to apply.

How do I access my saved application?

After creating an account and beginning your application, you will receive an email that contains a link to access your in-progress application. If you have deleted the email, you may also click here to access your account.

What is the application deadline?

Please check back.

Will you accept the ACT scores reported on my high school transcript?

No. If you are required to report your ACT score as part of the scholarship you are applying for, you must submit an official ACT score report. Copies of your ACT report can be obtained for free through your high school’s guidance office (High School Report), or downloaded directly from your online ACT account homepage (Student Report).

Can I submit a letter of recommendation addressed to a college or university?

No. Please make sure the letter addresses the fact you are applying for one of our scholarships, not college admission.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

If you are a high school senior and have not yet decided if you will be attending a two-year or four-year school, you may apply for both the Lois Crowe and Delores Pemma scholarship opportunities; however, you will ultimately only be eligible for one award. If you choose to apply for both scholarships, you must inform the scholarship coordinator of your school choice no later than March 16.
