QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid license to practice law in the State of Wisconsin.
Knowledge, familiarity and demonstrated practical skills with the principles of Indian Law.
Familiarity with Indian communities, extended families and customs.
General practice knowledge and litigation experience.
Must be able to communicate well with clients, general public and co-workers.
Must possess the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Must possess skills in use of modern office equipment and software.
Must be able to meet local practice and bar requirements for multiple jurisdictions within a reasonable time determined by Attorney General.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide legal advice and representation to a diverse client base.
-Conduct legal research, prepare legal memoranda, and represent clients in Tribal and State Court Proceedings and at administrative hearings.
-Draft and review contracts.
-Prepare correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents.
-Provide and coordinate training, inservice programs for departments as assigned..
-Draft policies, Procedures, Ordinances and Regulations as directed.
-Other duties as set forth by the Attorney General or the Deputy Attorney General.
