POSITION:           Two (2) Supervisors - Tribal Summer Youth Program
LOCATION:         Forest County Potawatomi Community
SUPERVISOR:     Recreation Director
WAGE:                  $8.50 per hour
HOURS:                 40 hours per week (10 weeks)
POSTED:               5-07-08
CLOSING:             5-28-08

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to understand and manage youth.
Must have valid driver’s license, and be insurable under Tribal Insurance.
Ability to keep accurate records.
Must be a team player.
Must be a mature, responsible individual.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
First Aid, CPR training desirable.
Knowledgeable of some mechanical machinery (i.e.; chain saw, lawn mower, etc.).

DUTIES:

Will manage, supervise, and provide cooperative programming with youth in the Summer Youth Employment Program. Their duties will vary on various days and times of the summer.
Will provide flexibility in their programming development.
Maintain and record work hours for the youth and will be responsible for submitting the timesheets to the Human Resource office.
Coordinate weekly education workshops for the youth.
Provide/coordinate limited transportation to and from worksites.
Maintain daily log of work activities/assignments.
Submit request for supplies and inventory supplies.
Be responsible for the use and return of equipment and non-perishable supplies.
Provide work evaluation on each worker who is working in his or her crew.
Summarize and provide an overall written report of the Tribal Summer Youth Employment project at end of summer.
