SUMMARY:
Assists in the Management of the office of Tribal department to provide public or other individuals with designated services, or implement laws, codes, programs, or policies prescribed by legislative bodies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Review all housing applications, all bids, and proposals submitted for new construction.
  • Refer applicants to possible contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Review all home purchasing.
  • Assists in the review of official directives and correspondence to ascertain such data as changes prescribed in department programs, policies, and procedures, and new assignments or responsibilities delegated to office.
  • Assists in the conferring with subordinate supervisory personnel and read staff reports and records to obtain data such as status of on-going work or projects, cases and investigations pending, indications of probable conclusions, and projected completion dates.
  • Assists in the planning of office activities and work projects and assists in assigning unit supervisory personnel responsibility for carrying out and completing specific projects and duties.
  • Assists in the coordination of activities of various office units in order to provide designated functions or services with minimum delay and optimum efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assists in informing supervisory personnel of changes or interpretations of laws, codes, programs, policies, or procedures.
  • Assists in conducting staff meetings for dissemination of pertinent information.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports on office activities required.
  • Reviews or assists in the review of papers for purchases and closings of real estate transactions.
  • Schedules inspections and other requirements for the purchase or construction of a home to ensure that all codes, regulations and policies are being followed.
  • Assists in the review, processes, closings and administration of loans.
  • Assists in the interview of applicants and requests specified information for loan applications.
  • Assists in the analyzing of applications and purchase or construction contracts.
  • Assists in preparing loan package for forwarding to the Tribal Housing Committee for approval.
  • Ensures that loan files are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Assists in the maintenance of database and monitors loan performance.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves conflicts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Management or 3 years work experience in related field.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent Oral and written Communications Skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills required.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to make sound judgments and recommendations regarding loan files and internal procedures.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Wisconsin Real Estate License Preferred.
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
