The Legal Department provides in-house legal advice and representation to the Forest County Potawatomi Community, its Executive Council, members, enterprises, departments and entities created by the Tribe.  Prior to entering into a contract, Tribal departments are to submit the contracts for review by the legal department. The purpose of the review is to protect the Tribe’s interest in making sure that the terms are as favorable to the Tribe as they can be in addition to making sure there are no waivers of sovereign immunity.
