Mission
The Finance Committee, of the Forest County Potawatomi, is designed to assist General Council in reviewing operational financial processes and to ensure the maximization of the financial resources of the company.

Committee Membership
The Finance Committee shall consist of 4 Potawatomi tribal members chosen by General Council.

Authorities & Responsibilities
The Finance Committee is responsible for recommending to general Council financial policies, goals and study’s that support specific missions, values and strategic goals of the company.  The committee also makes recommendations to General Council on the financial aspects of major transactions.  The goal of the Finance Committee is to recommend to General Council financial policies that maintain and improve the financial health and integrity of the company.  The committee reviews, monitors and recommends

Structure
The committee shall appoint one of its members to act as a Chairperson.  The committee shall review and approve an agenda for each meeting.  The committee shall conduct or authorize investigations into any matters within the scope of their responsibilities.

Meetings
The Finance Committee shall meet when necessary at the call of the Committee Chairperson.  A quorum of 3 members is necessary to conduct a meeting.
