WHAT TO BRING:
- A mat designed for yoga. These mats have a somewhat “sticky” surface to them which prevents the feet
from slipping when in standing poses. They can be purchased at many retailers which sell sporting goods.
- A stiff blanket (such as a Mexican type) that can be folded to sit upon. This offers more comfort when sitting.
It can also be used as a prop to aid in some poses!
WHAT TO WEAR:
Wear comfortable clothing (form fitting or loose) which allows you to move freely without feeling
constricted. Yoga is practiced barefoot, so no special footwear is necessary.
Yoga is an individually-based, noncompetitive practice. Classes are taught in a therapeutic manner, enabling everyone to practice at their own pace and comfort level. While no one should be excluded from practicing
yoga, please check with your healthcare provider prior to beginning yoga, especially if you suffer from a
medical condition or have any doubts. Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. If need be, have a light snack up to one hour before class and remain hydrated, including after practice.
Taught by: HORIZONS YOGA
